Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent is an action adventure video game created by Ubisoft. The plot of the game follows the exploits of secret agent Sam Fisher, who was given the responsibility of traveling around the world to conduct the United States’ covert operations. However, when he receives news of his only daughter’s death from Colonel Irving Lambert, he loses the will to carry on with his patriotic duties. The unfortunate event causes Sam to become depressed and self-destructive, which is why Lambert offers him a non-covert position. He reports to the CIA and NSA, which means that the government will stop being responsible for him if he is captured.
The NSA puts Fisher on a mission to infiltrate a terrorist organization called John Brown’s Army or JBA. He is assigned to undercover as an inmate at a Kansas prison. He is placed in the cell of a JBA member named Jamie Washington, and starts digging a tunnel on the ground in order to help Washington escape. Once they get out, Washington introduces Fisher to the rest of the JBA members and is welcomed to the organization. After a few other missions for the NSA and JBA, Fisher is given a special assignment by the JBA – to kill Colonel Lambert, who is discovered sneaking around the JBA headquarters.
