FotoSketcher

FotoSketcher is an application for re-creating photos as handmade drawings. The program consists of several drawing and painting effects to apply to digital photos. Some of these are pencil sketches, watercolor paintings, oil paintings, pen drawings, and many more. The application’s main window consists of all the tools for re-creating a photo. Creating a sketch can be done in just a few steps.

First, users need to upload a photo to re-create. Users can then choose a drawing or painting style by clicking on the appropriate button located at the top portion of the window. There are several styles to choose from and the elements of each style can be changed with the sliders provided. A preview of the photo with the added drawing style can be previewed before any changes are applied. After configuring the color, contrast, and style, click the ‘Draw!’ button to apply the desired effects to the photo.

Aside from the drawing tools and styles, users can also do some basic editing on the original photo, such as change the contract, hue, saturation, and luminosity of the image. Frames can be added to the final image, too. The program is geared towards beginners who are not keen on using advanced photo editing applications.
