Action Solitaire provides users with an innovating way to play solitaire. In this game, solitaire is played for points and players have to beat the clock in timed rounds. The objective of the game is to earn the highest score possible in order to make it to the next more challenging round. This game gives players a set foal score for each round; if the player fails to reach the specified score, he or she loses and will have to repeat the level. Because it is a fast-paced game, this program lets players use mouse and keyboard shortcuts.

Beginners can start playing the game in practice mode so they can learn and get used to the controls without worrying about the time limit. Aside from playing solitaire, this game also provides players with a full history of the scores they have played so they can track their progress. The game will be automatically saved upon exit and players can also submit their scores to an online page to show their achievement and see how they rank among other players.

Players can choose from a number of different card back designs as well as backgrounds for each game. Action Solitaire also lets players choose from five card sizes and 75 solitaire games to play, including Triple Peaks, Golf, Klondike, Pyramid, and Binary Star.
