PDF Compress 3.02

Developed by Bureausoft, PDF Compress is a simple, small, and light application that allows users to compress and shrink the file size of existing PDF files for easier transport. The compressed PDF files from the output of the program can be viewed by conventional PDF readers such as Adobe Reader, Foxit Reader, or any document viewer of the user’s choice. The program is extremely simple to use with a single dialog box containing the main functions of the program, all in plain view. The program may be used by both novice and advanced users due to its ease of use.

In the program displays several details of the file currently open, again in the main window of the program. The program displays the file name, PDF file version, author, title, subject, and other basic information. The program then gets in depth by providing the user with information such as file size, the number of pages, the set paper size used by the PDF, when it was last modified, and whether or not it uses a certain type of encryption. There are three options provided by the program to the user for compression, these are to compress the text, to compress the graphics or images embedded inside the PDF, or to compress the PDF’s embedded fonts. The program is also included in Bureausoft’s PDF Writer suite.
