7-PDF Printer is a system utility developed by German company 7-PDF and October 2012. The program enables users to print PDF files from any Windows program. Output PDF files can be password protected or encrypted to add more file security. Aside from PDF, the program also provides output support for other image file formats including JPEG, BMP, EPS, PNG, PSD, and TIFF.  7-PDF Printer offers support for Terminal Server and Citrix MetaFrame. The program can likewise be utilized as a PDF Network Printer over a network connection.

The program also offers some configuration options including the option to set the PDF quality according to the machine that it will be viewed with after. These output settings include printer, screen, eBook, and prepress. Users may also add watermarks, as well as customized the watermark size, font, image transparency, and rotation. The program enables users to append documents into another, or superimpose documents over another. Users may also edit the metadata for the PDF file by adding the Author name, Title, and Company. Quality can be set from Standard, as default, to High Definition.  Users may also output the document whether zoomed in or out. This is highly useful if the user wants to add margins or space around the document. It can also be used when the source file or original file has very small fonts.
