Adobe OnLocation 4.0.1

Adobe OnLocation, formerly called Serious Magic DV Rack, is an application used for direct-to-disk monitoring and recording. Originally created by Serious Magic Inc, Adobe OnLocation is a component of the Adobe Master Collection suite, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Production Premium. The program allows recording of video sources directly to a laptop using readily available formats. It provides various production tools for managing shots, adding metadata and reviewing content.

Adobe OnLocation can be integrated with Adobe Story and Adobe Premiere Pro. Scripts can be imported from Adobe Story to OnLocation. The contents from OnLocation can be transferred to Premiere Pro. The program retains the metadata entered during the speeding up, shooting, and editing procedures. The program also features Comment Markers, which can be used for adding notes while playback or recording. Since comments will be attached to the exact time codes, users can review particular clip parts while shooting. Turbo Comments are also featured in this program, which stores and inserts frequently used comments. OnLocation also offers a Media Browser, which is used for navigating files and importing clips. This feature is content aware. It can also identify media files. When importing clips, users can also use this feature for filtering out existing media clips.

Adobe OnLocation has been discontinued since April 23, 2012.
