Aiseesoft Streaming Video Recorder is an application that enables users to download streaming videos from online sources and websites such as ESPN, Google video, Adobe TV, and PBS. Downloaded videos may be converted to a variety of formats for playback in media devices such as smartphones, portable gaming consoles, and media players. Supported video output formats include M4A, MP4, MPG, MOV, and VOB, among others. Furthermore, the videos may be saved in audio format such as WAV, AAC, MP3, WMA, and FLAC.

This application is capable of detecting videos from websites automatically. Streaming videos may be downloaded automatically and played from the Internet Explorer cache, so that users can easily locate the videos from the cache, view these, or export these to their folders. Users can adjust the output resolution, channels, sample rate, audio and video bitrate, frame rate, and the audio-video encoder. Users can also specify their own parameters for the output resolution.

The video conversion process may be automated; users simply need to select the option to automatically start conversion after the videos are added to the download queue. Users can also watch videos using the built-in video player, from which they can also take screenshots of a particular scene. The screenshots can be saved as BMP, GIF, and JPEG image files for easier sharing.
