Bookworm Adventures Deluxe 1.0

Bookworm Adventures Deluxe is a single-player puzzle game program developed and published by PopCap Games. It was initially released on November 28, 2006. The game is the follow-up of the Bookwork game, which is also developed by PopCap. It combines a role-playing video game with the “word creation from tilesets” aspect of the Bookwork game.

Players take control of Lex the Bookworm, the protagonist in the game, and guides Lex through different game stages, fighting creatures to complete each stage. To destroy the creature, the player must guide Lex the Bookworm in creating words from the provided tiles. The longer and more complicated the words are, the greater the damage it gives the user. Each stage is based on different historical events such as Greek Mythology and the 1001 Arabian Nights. There’s also a boss for each stage. In order to proceed to the next stage, Lex must destroy the boss. A treasure item is also given to Lex every time a boss is defeated.

There are three game modes in Bookworm Adventures Deluxe. These are the Adventure, Area and Mini-Games. The Adventure mode is the game’s primary mode, where Lex needs to solve the Great Library mystery while defeating the creatures for each stage. The Area mode is an un-lockable feature of the game. This can be unlocked by completing the Adventure mode. In this mode, the player can fight against all the bosses in the Adventure game in a fast-paced action. In the Mini-Games mode, the player can play on three types of mini-games and the goal is to get a high score.
