Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year is a time management tycoon game that was released in 2008. It is the second title on the Build-a-lot series of games. In the game, the player acts as a contractor who must help several clients who want to expand or improve their properties. In each level, players must complete the minimum requirements on the assignment in order to move on to the next level.

At the start of the level, players are given a list of goals to do. There is also a time limit for finishing these goals. The quicker the player finishes the goal, the more points are given. Some of the goals include building different types of homes, improving the town’s appeal, and earning some cash. There are various styles of houses, buildings, and other town improvements to choose from. Strategic planning when building these will help in completing levels.

Users should also carefully manage money since purchasing materials is necessary when building structures. Bigger and better buildings require more materials and resources to build. Other features of the game include:
