Capture NX 2

Capture NX 2 is a photo editing application from Nikon. The program allows photographers to enhance photos using simple and advanced tools. The application uses the U Point Technology that evaluates the different elements of a photo (color, saturation, hue, and brightness) to let the user know which areas of a photo need editing.

One of the main features of the application is Color Control Point. This feature enhances the hue, saturation, and brightness of a photo by adding a color control point on a certain area of the image. Users can adjust the image with the sliders that appear. Another feature is Selection Control Point, which applies enhancements on specific areas of the image with just one click. The program’s interface has an automatic retouch brush that gets rid of dust, blemishes, and other imperfections on the photo. It can also be used to remove unwanted objects in the image.

Capture NX 2 comes with four user interfaces. These are Browser, Metadata, Edit, and Multi-Purpose. With the different interfaces, users can easily switch between tasks when using the program.
