Cthulhu Saves the World

Zeboyd Games (Proprietary)

Cthulhu Saves the World is a follow-up role-playing game to Breath of Death VII: The Beginning, and is developed by Zeboyd Games. Like its predecessor, it is a parody of the story of Cthulhu, the evil squid-faced god penned by H.P. Lovecraft. In this game, Cthulhu wishes to become a hero but in order to do this, he must travel the world and do good deeds. He has to be sincere in this mission lest he never regain his evil powers. Cthulhu still intends on wreaking havoc on the world, but to do this, he must first save it. All throughout the adventure, Cthulhu maintains a derisive tone because of his mission. Players move in parties and explore towns and dungeons to gain magic points and acquire new weapons. Some of towns are clearly inspired by Lovecraft’s work like Duncwich and Innsmouth.

Players of Cthulhu Saves the World have the ability to save their progress at any point in the game. All members of a party are revived after every fight, and they are awarded a few magic points. As the players grow more powerful in the game, they will have less random encounters in the dungeons. Members of the team can also work together to unleash special combo attacks.
