dBpowerAMP Music Converter 14.4

dBpowerAMP Music Converter is part of the dBpowerAMP package. It is developed by Illustrate. This application is used for encoding multiple audio formats such as FLAC, MP3, MPEG, MP3 and MP4. The program offers three individual components. These are the Music Convert, CD Ripper and Batch Converter.

The Music Converter is used for encoding audio files. Several configuration settings are available such as output format, output destination, audio settings and option to choose Dynamic for setting the file name format. The available audio settings in this utility include bit rate, quality, bit depth, channels and sample frequency. There are two options for the output destination. Converted files can be saved either at the original location of the file or at a custom location. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) effects are also available. The CD Ripper tool has the same process and features as the Music Converter tool.

The Batch Converter utility is used for converting multiple tracks at once. It utilizes a tree view for searching files and selecting which audio tracks to convert. Choosing an entire folder to convert is possible as well. There is also an option to encode the sub-folders’ contents. Converting OGG, AA and WMA formats is possible. However, this can only be done if the available codecs are installed in the computer.
