Director MX, also known as Adobe Director, is a multimedia content creator. The program is capable of creating multimedia projects in 2D and 3D. One of the main features of the application is the Lingo scripting language. With Lingo, users can make kiosks on CD-ROMs, as well as make prototypes of software. Director MX supports over 40 audio and video formats. The program can be used by game developers, eLearning program developers and authors, and many more.
Director MX uses H.264 video integration. This allows developers to preview or play high definition videos in games, and eLearning applications. It also supports RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) for audio and video streaming on the Internet. Apart from these, the software also has an audio suite that includes 5.1 channel surround sound, audio filters, and a 16-channel sound mixing board. 3D rendering is possible, too, with the available 3D models from Google SketchUp.
Other features of Director MX include the following:
Enhanced text rendering engine
Advanced graphics with NVIDIA PhysX support
Xtra plug-ins
Multiversion output
Enhanced script browser
Director MX has Unicode support, which allows easy localization of all the multimedia creations done with the program including games, training application, prototypes, and many more.
