DiskInternals Partition Recovery 4.2

DiskInternals Partition Recovery is a recovery software developed by DiskInternals Research on March 2013. The program enables users to recover bad sectors from hard disk partitions. The program even works with virtual disks and external devices. The program allows users to recover data and information contained in partitions that have been deleted, lost, or damaged. Lost partitions may be the result of reformatting or accidental deletions. The program supports several file system types including FAT 16, FAT32, NTFS, VFAT, NTFS4, and NTFS5. The program likewise offers creation of Boot CD. Recovered files may be exported into the same storage media, or to another medium including the option to burn the same into an optical disc media. Users may also export the recovered files via FTP Export.

DiskInternals Partition Recovery graphical user interface sports a grey and blue classic theme. Upon launching the program, users may choose between Full recovery and Fast Recovery. Full Recovery is perfect for file system reconstructions, while Fast recovery is the one to use when the user just wants to recover deleted files. In Full Recovery Mode, users have to choose the applicable file system type—NTFS, FAT, or Ext2/3/4. During the recovery process, users can check the status of the recovery through the status bar at the bottom. The program also displays the current number of folders and files scanned, as well as the length of time elapsed.
