Empire of Sports can be played as a single athlete or a team of players. Controllers choose a player, which is in the form of an avatar (artificial intelligence or AI), and use their character to play any selected sports game. They compete with other players online from any parts of the world. They may also setup or join a team of a particular sport from the choices and work together. For instance, basketball and football are events that involve a team of players. If a player likes to play basketball or football, he has to make or join a team with other online players. Users of this program can also create their own clubs, and organize competitions or tournaments.

Empire of Sports features famous countries of the world where the different sports events are held. These include France, Arabia, and the UK.
