EverQuest II Extended is a free-to-play version of the massive multi online role-playing game, EverQuest II. Released in 2010. This version of the game previously made paid-only content available for free to players. While the game can be played for free, there are available micro transactions in place. Players can choose to buy in-game items and other paid content. Some of these are the legendary and fabled weapons and equipments. Players in this game’s version can only join, not create, guilds and only has access to “adepth” spell tiers. Nevertheless, apart from these restrictions, everyone can play the game free from start to finish. An upgrade to paid version is also possible.
In EverQuest II Extended, the game still follows the plot, settings, and gameplay of EverQuest II. Featuring an updated interface from the first EverQuest title, the game is set 500 years after the events of the first game in Norath. Norath has been destroyed by many cataclysms and is abandoned by the gods. The player arrives in any of the starting locations before moving to one of the new cities. The game features 20 races and 25 different adventure classes. The player can choose any race and based on that, choose any class that can fit to his choice of race. Characters can be customized and can advance through 95 levels. To reach that level, the player has to earn experience by completing quests.
