FastStone Capture

The FastStone Capture program is a screen capture utility that can also record a video of the computer’s screen. The program can be used for instructional purposes or creating presentations. Editing tools are also built into the program. These include basic annotation tools, such as highlights, arrows, and text. Other editing options are cropping, resizing, and adding watermarks. The program can save files in different formats like BMP, PNG, TIFF, PDF, JPEG, and others.

FastStone Capture comes in a small window that has all the capturing tools. Users can also use hotkeys to quickly activate screen capturing. The program is capable of recording menus, objects, windows, web pages, and many more. It also records audio from connected or a built-in microphone, and mouse movements and clicks. The recorded video is saved as Windows Media Video format. After video capture, the clip or screen capture can be sent to the editor, printer, email, PowerPoint, Word, or to the web via FTP.
