FileCure

FileCure is an application that allows users to find the right program for opening different kinds of files. The application checks the programs that are installed in the computer and locates the one that can be used for opening a file. The application has a simple interface that can be used even by beginners. The program has a set of buttons at the left hand side of the window. These are Scan, Manage, Monitor, Ignore, History, Schedule, and About. FileCure diagnoses the extensions that cannot be opened in the system during the scanning process. It will then display a list of the file extensions that are not supported by any of the programs that are currently installed in the computer.

Users can also manage which programs to use for different file extensions. This can be done by clicking on the ‘Manage’ button. The name of a program is displayed beside each file extension. Users can change the program by clicking on ‘Change’ and choosing another program from the list. Other features of the application include the following:
