FontExpert

FontExpert is an application that enables users to manage all their fonts. It supports PostScript, TrueType, and OpenType fonts. The program can be used by designers when choosing the perfect font for projects. This program displays font properties, such as the character set, family style, ID, and name. When a font is chosen, users can immediately see how all the characters and symbols look like using the selected font. In addition, the program can also look into folders and discs to view fonts.

Other features of the application are the following:

• Font library – With the program, users can create libraries of fonts. This can be done by dragging and dropping font sets to a particular group in the program.
• Detection of errors – The application is also capable of finding font sets that are incomplete or corrupted.
• Categorize fonts – Users can manage fonts in the database by adding captions, font ratings, categories, and keywords. These categories can be filtered in Tags.

The program’s interface is simple and intuitive. The left panel of the main window shows a list of all the fonts in the database, while the right side shows the Task Panel where users can manage common tasks, selected fonts, and details. The main area of the window is where the fonts can be seen. A smaller window at the bottom shows the Characters Table where each of the symbols and characters are displayed.
