Go-Go Gourmet is a time management hidden object game developed by Oberon Games and published by I-Play. The game’s plot follows the adventures of Ginger, a young woman who is entrusted with her uncle’s restaurant while he sets off to find the hottest chili recipe in the world. Ginger is forced to start off with a run-down restaurant and a blank cookbook, which will be filled up later on. In order to earn money and gain experience, Ginger must learn from six different culinary experts who will teach her how to prepare more than 120 dishes. The player takes on the role of Ginger and tries to complete every single order in the restaurant. During the course of the game, the player will have to make upgrades and repairs on the restaurant as well.
If the player is successful in keeping the customers consistently happy, s/he can earn the title of Master Chef. However, this job entails serving the patrons within a limited period. Once their orders are taken, the player must be able to assemble them seamlessly before their patience meter runs out. Some recipes require certain ingredients, which are not present; therefore the player must play a hidden object game to retrieve the missing ingredient. Other important food items and condiments like onions, cheese, mayonnaise, and ketchup are scattered all over the kitchen, so the player must find each one of them in order to use them in the recipes.
