GTA 3

GTA 3 is an adventure video game that was developed by Rockstar North, a company that is now called DMA Design. GTA 3, also known as Grand Theft Auto III was released in 2001 originally for Xbox, PC, and PlayStation2. The game also now has a Mac version that was released later. This is the third installment in the series and is the first game that features real 3D GTA game play.

GTA 3 features elements from third person shooter games combined with popular elements of driving video games. GTA 3 is an open world game that is set in a fictional metropolis called Liberty City (loosely based on New York City) and follows the adventures of Claude. Claude was involved in a bank heist where his girlfriend betrayed him. Claude intended to confront her eventually but in the meantime, he had to make his way up the crime ladder. The player has to undergo all the challenges in order to Claude to achieve his goals.

The player of GTA 3 plays on third person and views the game from above and behind which is different from the first two installments in the series wherein the top-down perspective is used. GTA 3 is known as one of the most successful video game of the series.
