HaoZip is a program that enables users to manage their archive files. An archive file is a file container format used to hold files such as documents, photos, videos, music, and software in a compressed data shell. Archive files are used to provide lossless data storage and portability for creating backups and for facilitating quick file transfers. HaoZip is used to compress a folder containing a single or multiple files, or to decompress over forty-nine archive file formats. HaoZip supports archive file formats such as 7ZIP, ZIP, TAR, RAR, ISO, UDF, ISZ, ACE, UUE, CAB, BZIP2, ARJ, JAR, LZH, RPM, Z, LZMA, NSIS, CHM, DMG, HFS, WIM, DEB, MSI, CPIO, and XAR. This program also supports the drag-and-drop feature, allowing users to manage multiple files at a time. Users may also preview image files in their archive files without the need to decompress them by means of the program’s built-in image previewer. In addition to these, HaoZip enables users to customize the program’s skin and change the user interface’s appearance.
HaoZip features a simple user interface that has four main parts. First part is the main control bar, which contains buttons that execute actions within the program. This section contains buttons used to add files, extract files, test content, delete files, find files, view info, repair archive files, comment on an archive file, add SFX, and access VirtualCD. The next part is the folder directory tree that allows users to locate an archive file in their local folders or set an output folder for the extracted files. The next one is the file list where the contents of the archive file are displayed. This section also displays file information such as the file name, file size, file type, and date modified. The last section is the preview panel where users may preview the image contents of an archive file.
