IconDeveloper

IconDeveloper is used for creating icons for Windows computers. The program allows users to import image files and customize them to create a new icon. Supported image file formats are BMP, JPB, PNG, and ICO. Upon launching the program, IconDeveloper offers four tasks:

• New Icon – used for creating new icons from imported images
• Open Icon – allows users to access an existing icon in the program’s library for editing
• Convert Image to Icon – used for converting images to ICO format
• Recolor Icons – used for re-coloring the existing icons in an icon package

Colors and other image attributes can be changed once the image is imported to the program. Users can change the colors by manipulating the slider, range of colors, and the hue. The application also offers complex settings for advanced computer users. There are also scaling options for changing the size of the icon.

IconDeveloper is also integrated to the Windows Shell for easier icon creation. With this feature, users can simply right click on an image file to convert it to an ICO file that can be edited using the application. A preview of the changes made to the icon can be seen under the Preview tab on the main window.
