KolourPaint is a simple paint application for KDE. The application allows users to create different graphic projects with the use of simple tools that are readily available in the program. It has a simple and intuitive user interface with tools located at the left, upper, and lower portion of the main window. Majority of the space on the interface is the work area where users can draw, insert objects, and add text.
Some of the basic tools that can be accessed from the left panel include the shape tool, paintbrush, pen, line, and shape tool. There is also an eraser that allows users to remove certain parts of an image. The color palette is located at the bottom part of the window where users can easily access different colors for objects. In addition, the program comes with several image effects that allow users to change the project’s colors and style. All projects created with the application can be saved in supported formats including TIFF, ICO, BMP, JPEG, and PNG.
