Lineage II

Lineage II is a MMORPG application developed and published by NCsoft. It is the prequel to the Lineage MMORPG. It was initially released on October 1, 2003 in North Korea and April 27, 2004 in North America. The game is set in the world of Lineage with the storyline starts 150 years before. It follows the fictional history through plot sets called Sagas. There are two available Sagas – The Chaotic Throne and The Chaotic Chronicle. The game also offers expansions or updates, which is called Chronicles. These expansions/updates offer new story and elements to the game.

There are three kingdoms in Lineage II – Elmore, Gracia and Aden. To start playing Lineage II, players are required to build a character. This character will serve as the avatar of the players within the game. Each player can create up to 7 characters for every server. There are six races available races in the game – Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, Dwarves and Kamael. Each race has several classes and subclasses. A total of 36 classes for all the races are available in the game. Subclass can be added to a player’s character upon reaching level 75. Players can choose between mystic and fighter professions at the beginning of the game. One of the goals of the game is to increase experience and skill points. This can be done by killing NPC or non-player character monsters and completing quests. Getting more points enables the players to increase their characters’ level. Upgrading and buying the character’s skills is possible using the Skill Points. Completing quests doesn’t only provide new items and added skills. It also enables players to obtain monster pets.
