LinuxLive USB Creator is a free application that enables users to create a bootable Live USB that is can be used for various Linux-supported devices. A Live USB is any USB or Universal Serial Bus flash drive that contains a fully functional operating system that can be plugged in and booted. Live USBs are closely related to Live CDs but has the capability to permanently install software packages and save settings into the USB device. This device is used in embedded systems for data recovery, system administration, and testing operating system distributions. LinuxLive USB Creator can create live USB for various Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, Debian Live, OpenSUSE, Sabayon Linux, ArchLinux, ArchBang, PCLinux OS, CentOS, Damn Small Linux, Toutou Linux, GParted Live, Clonezilla, Crunchbang, and Super OS. LinuxLive USB Creator provides users with an option of automatic virtualization that runs Linux directly in Windows environments without the need for configuration or installation. In addition to these, this application uses a special portable virtual box that launches Linux directly and hides created files in the USB key.
LinuxLive USB Creator features a simple interface that enables users to create a live USB using a 5-step process. First, the application would ask the user to choose a USB key then choose a data source from an archive file backup, an optical disc such as a CD or DVD, or download the data online. Afterwards, LinuxLive USB Creator would prompt the user to go “live mode” and then configure options for the bootable live USB. The final task would be to create the live USB. In addition, LinuxLive USB Creator provides advanced options where users may set advanced parameters for the live USB.
