Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation application that is one of the programs included in the Microsoft Office suite, but it can also be downloaded as a standalone program. It allows users to create a presentation in the form of a slideshow. There are different objects that can be added to each slide used in the presentation. Some of these include objects, hyperlinks, photos and images, animations, and even videos. The program consists of several tools, too. Some of them are charts, clip art, tables, and effects. Users can add transitions and sounds after each slide. Some of the transitions included are ripple, shred, switch, flip, and many others.
Tools for creating a presentation can be found on the upper part of the window. There are tools for the design, animations, transitions, slide show, and add-ins. Thumbnails of each slide are displayed on the left panel of the main window, while most of the workspace is dedicated to a selected slide.
Other features of the Microsoft PowerPoint application are the following:
• users can add an unlimited number of slides for the presentation
• support for recording the presentation as a video file
• wide array of templates, transitions, and objects to add to the presentation
