MP3 Tag Remover 1.10b

MP3 Tag Remover is a simple MP3 File Editor plug-in and utility that allows users to remove tags from MP3 files. It also allows users to manage their playlists and MP3 collections. It can also remove lyric tags.

The application supports the removal of ID3 version 1 and 2 tags. ID3 is a metadata storage which is commonly associated with the MP3 audio file format. It contains information such as the track number, artist, title, and other related data. The difference between version 1 and 2 is the amount of bytes the tag occupies. ID3v1 occupies a total of 128 bytes. Meanwhile, ID3v2 tags come in varying sizes.

The application has an easy drag-and-drop feature, and can process a batch of audio files. To begin the tag removal process, users must click the “OPEN” or “REMOVE” button. At first, the program will recommend the use of the application with the MP3 File Editor program.  Users can opt to continue using the program without said program. A file browser will be provided where users can use one or more files to be processed. They have the option to remove all tags or remove tags individually. Clicking the “Remove” button will start the tag removal procedure.
