MPEG Audio Collection is a program that is intended for organizing an audio file collection. When this utility is at work, it proceeds to scan the files that are selected. The program scans for supported audio files. Afterwards, it makes a list of all the files found. This list becomes available to the viewer in a tree-view interface that follows an Explorer-style layout. This application completes its work fast and is a handy utility overall.
MPEG Audio Collection has a few new features including WavPack support, FLAC support, AAC support, and OptimFROG support. This program can now also read files which have different sample rates and it also features genre tag support. A more powerful renamer is put in place and there is also a new and improved file information dialog window. The icon can detect volume type with a different icon used for each type. MPEG Audio Collection provides support for Monkey's Audio 3.98 files and it can read MP3 files’ ape tags, too.
For unsupported files, a double-click on the file will launch the associated programs. MPEG Audio Collection is an easy-to-use program was originally created by Jurgen Faul. Now, The MAC Team (composed of Gambit, ErickS, Madah, and Böreck) has taken charge of the program’s development.
