Native Instruments Kore Player is a software which allows users to browse a sound library which provides 400 MB of different sounds and effects. Aside from browsing, users can also make modifications on the sounds and effects. Additional sounds by Native Instruments can be added by purchasing and downloading from the Kore website. Native instruments’ software in this player include the Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig, Kontakt, Massive, and Reaktor. Absynth, FM8 and Reaktor are synthesizers which create complex sounds. Kontakt is a sampler while Guitar Rig is used for guitar amp modelling. Each of these softwares is designed to enable real-time digital processing.
Native Instruments Kore Player has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Users can search the sound or effects they need by typing the keyword(s) on the search box. On the upper left section of the interface are controls for the different effects like Noise, Morph, FX Mix, Size, Cutoff, Att, Damp, and Rel. The main screen is divided into two (2) sections. The left section lists the Sound types, Mode, and Genre. The right section, on the other hand, lists the name of the album, Bank or Library, Color, and Rating.
