Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a single player video game which is a sequel of the Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. In this particular game, Abe, the lead character is in the midst of saving his fellow Mudokons from the slavery from Glukkons. Glukkons are enslaving the Mudokons in the effort to get their bones and tears as ingredients for the production of Soulstorm Brew.
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus features no user interface. This means that players will not see instructions written on the screen like normal games. Information or instructions will be shared through instructive screens which the player can activate or can scroll on the background. If the player gets hit or shot, it results to his death. But this does not mean game over as the game has unlimited lives. The player will just be returned to the last screen where he is alive. Two powerful abilities can be used by the player to navigate the game: GameSpeak and Possession. GameSpeak is done with a combination of buttons and gives the player the ability to control non-player characters. On the other hand, Possession means that the player can control some characters on the game by chanting. Possession will allow the player to make use of the other characters in the game for his purpose. However, using this ability will put the player on a vulnerable state.
