PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor is a time management game developed by the company Namco Networks. The game’s plot details the story of a young woman named Cathy, whose father owns and operates a local pizza restaurant. Four mischievous ghosts named Blinky, Clyde, Inky, and Pinky have caused a ruckus at the restaurant, causing Cathy’s father to hit his head and fall unconscious. When he wakes up, he has no memory of the people or things around him, which compels Cathy to take over the pizza restaurant as he recovers. On his hospital bed, he mindlessly mentions something about a PAC-MAN machine and putting quarters in it. Cathy takes the old machine out of storage and drops a quarter in it, which brings PAC-MAN to life, offering to help her run the pizza shop.
The object of the game is to serve as many satisfied customers as possible. The player makes sure that Cathy gets all the customers’ orders and serves them in time as well. PAC-MAN stays behind the kitchen counter and is in charge of preparing the food orders. The initial levels require the player to prepare simple food and drink items, but as the game progresses, the orders become more complicated and the customers increase in number, too. Each level requires a specific amount of money earned in order to advance to the next stage.
