PC Auto Shutdown is a simple tool used for automatically shutting down the computer. It can also hibernate, log off, and reboot the system at a specified time. The main window of the application consists of eight tabs – General, Hotkeys, Timer, Sound, Clean-up, Password, Log, and About. Users can set the schedule for the task under the Timer tab. There are several options to choose from including the shutdown action, the time, and the schedule (once, daily, weekdays, and weekly). Hotkeys can also be set for different actions, such as power off, shutdown, reboot, hibernate, suspend, and log off.

Aside from shutting down the computer, PC Auto Shutdown is also capable of cleaning the system to improve the computer’s performance. The clean-up happens before the computer is shut down. It can clear items in the recycle bin, temporary folders and Internet files, cookies, browser history, and the recent documents list. The program has a security feature that allows users to set a password for the program. This prevents other users from making any changes to the application’s settings.
