RoboGEO is a program used for tagging photos and images with their geo-location including the altitude, directions, longitude, and latitude. The program can add this to the EXIF information of the photo or stamp it on the photo itself. It has a simple user interface that both novice and advanced computer users will be able to operate. It has a built-in wizard that displays the steps of using the application. The program makes use of Google Earth in order to add the geotags for each image.
The main interface displays a preview of the image on the upper left side of the main window. Users can then follow the 4 steps located just under the preview in order to add tags to the program. From the menu, users can access Google Maps and Google Earth to help track the exact location where the image was taken. Users can also access their Flickr accounts from the program and upload their photos.
Here are the key features of the application:
• Comes with a tool for automatically renaming images based on the EXIF information
• Can be used by engineers, surveyors, and aerial photographers
• Supports a wide variety of image file formats including DNG, TIF, BMP, PNG, and JPG
