Rogue Trooper is a computer video game based on the comic series of the same name. Set on Nu-Earth, a planet that is between 2 suns, there is an ongoing war between the Southers and the Norts. The planet has been poisoned. Humans cannot venture outside and must wear protective gear. The people on the Southers developed a "Genetic Infantry (G.I)", a warrior race immune to the poisonous atmosphere. However, a traitor betrayed the Southers and killed the entire GI army. A surviving G.I., named Rogue, takes up the task in himself to find out who the traitor is and kill him.
As a third-person shooting game, the pistol and an assault rifle are Rogue's main weapons. The assault rifle can be upgraded throughout the game. There are other weapons in the game, like the rocket launcher, grenades, and cannons. In the battlefield, Rogue can fire his weapons even while moving or not. The enemies are killed immediately when they are shot on the head. The enemies' gas tank can also be shot, which can eliminate them since the atmosphere in Nu-Earth is poisonous. When the enemies are killed, Rogues can also examine the bodies to find “Salvage, which is the resource used for purchasing equipment.
