ScanToPDF is an application used to scan paper documents and image files into the PDF format. Additional plug-in software may be used to provide added functionality to the program.  The application is used in industries such as logistics and warehousing, legal offices, and healthcare.  

Program interface is simple and streamlined. Any computer user can easily use the program. Numerous items can be processed at the same time. Extended functionality include Barcode Recognition, OCR, Data Extraction of OCR Zone, and Legacy Systems Integration via a plug-in from Data Explorer.  File list item importation may be done through a drag and drop feature, through a tree view, or via the file browser.  Once the file type and output directory are designated, automatic initialization of conversion procedure is done. The application may also be used for default saved folder opening, most recently saved PDF file viewing, and default email clients launching to send saved PDF files. Hotkeys specification for capturing, command-line parameters incorporation, and interface language selection may all be done through the Options menu. Users may also customize default folders for item importation, file sorting by name, and PDF metadata editing. Images from external devices and local drives may also be used with the application.
