Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed is a racing video game published by Electronic Arts in 2011. This game is the seventeenth installment of Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed series. Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed players can choose and customize more than 140 licensed vehicles, which can be used in racing competitions. This game has single player and a 12-player multiplayer mode.
Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed features redefined game controls and dynamic crash physics, which enable players to experience a more realistic driving simulation. For example, racers get drawn to the side of the vehicle whenever the player makes a turn, players also get jerked forward when the vehicle crashes. The display also blurs to simulate the “Tunnel Vision” that racers experience when moving in very high speeds. The game’s single player features a “Career Mode” which the players engage in a variety of motor sports such as drifting, circuit racing, endurance races, muscle car racing, and retro car racing in order to prepare for the FIA GT1 World Championship. Players can view the race in two camera views, the in-car view, and the helmet camera view. Shift 2 Unleashed also features over 40 various race tracks located across different countries. The game also features real-world race circuits such as Bathurst, Spa-Francorchamps, and Suzuki.
