Sonic 4: Episode 1

Sonic 4: Episode 1 is a platform video game also known as Sonikku Za Hejjihoggu 4. It was initially released in 2010. The game is the first episode in the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 series following the story of Sonic the Hedgehog’s venture to explore new territories while Dr. Eggman (the antagonist) trying to plot his revenge against Sonic. The game is set after the events that took place in the Sonic & Knuckles game.

Sonic 4: Episode 1 is a side-scrolling platform game in 2-dimensional. Like the original game, players still control Sonic. Sonic can still perform his spin dash as well as other power-ups like speed shoes, shields, homing attack and invincibility. After finishing the first act, players can choose freely on which zone to play on through the world map. The game has four zones with three acts each. After each act, the player has to play against a boss. The boss battle will only be available if the first three acts in a zone is completed. After clearing the four zones, the final zone will be unlocked. The game also features Special Stages, which are based on the special stages available in the original game. One of the main and newest features in the game is Sonic’s ability to change into Super Sonic while playing in regular levels. However, this is only possible if all the 50 rings within an act and Chaos Emeralds have been collected.
