SWF Picture Extractor is a tool used for extracting images from files saved in the SWF format. An SWF file is a multimedia file used with Adobe Flash. The application has a basic user interface that is ideal for both novice and advanced computer users. There are four buttons located at the top portion of the main screen – Open file, Save picture, Save all pictures, and Help. Users can open SWF files on the main window and all of them will be displayed on the left portion. The total number of files will be displayed at the bottom of the window. When one of the images is selected, a thumbnail and information regarding the image will be displayed on the right part of the window.
The program displays the picture number, the file format of the image, its dimensions, and the color mode used for the image. Under the options window, users can choose the output location for the images that will be extracted. Other options include the prefix for the pictures that have been saved, grid color for transparent pictures, grid size for transparent pictures, and the size for the thumbnails. The program does not use up a lot of system resources and extracting images from SWF files can be done in just a few seconds.
