The Sysinternals PsExec application is part of the Sysinternals suite. The latter is a collection of programs that are meant to help troubleshoot and manage Microsoft applications. The Sysinternals PsExec is one of the standalone tools that can be found in this collection.
A set of files stored on one computer can also be accessed using a different computer. This is called remote network access. Although this is possible and somewhat easy to do, the challenge is in the need to install specific programs onto the remote computer before access to the said file will be allowed. The same concept goes for computer applications. There is a tool that can remove the hassle of having to install these programs onto a series of computers before remote access is granted. This is called the Sysinternals PsExec application.
Only by installing the Sysinternals PsExec tool, even without the same program installed on the remote system, computer B, users will be able to access files from computer A. All the user has to do is type the Sysinternals PsExec command into the executable path. An additional feature in the form of a specialized anti-virus scanner is available with the tool. A notification will appear on both computers should there be any potential threats detected during the remote access of files.
