TomTom Media Center is an application that enables owners of TomTom navigation systems to use them as a portable media device. This means that the GPS navigation device can serve as an audio player, video player document reader, and even a gaming console. It also comes with four games that can be played immediately by users, as well as 20 other games that can be installed after installation. It supports all TomTom navigation device models, which include the GO, GO 500, One New Edition, One XL HD traffic, One IQ Routes Edition, TomTom Pearl, and Fiat Blue & Me among others.

Media Center for TomTom comes with a converter bundled with the program. This tool allows users to convert video files into different formats. Some of the conversion options offered by the program include cropping, video quality and size adjustment, batch compression, and default audio level boosting. Compressed movie files can be stored in the computer’s hard disk or a portable storage device and played back directly. The program supports third-party tools for DVD conversion, as well as video files with the formats: AVI, DivX, MPEG, and XVID. Users can customize the program’s graphical user interface by changing the skin, background, and icon selection.
