In addition, TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility console displays the remaining battery capacity of the user’s laptop or notebook. The battery capacity is shown as the green area in the display bar along with the charge percentage. Users may choose to turn TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility on or off, or to set it in manual or automatic mode. Users can also set a lower battery limit for TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility. This feature allows the user to conserve the laptop or notebook’s battery by setting the battery percentage where external devices can be charged. For example, a user sets the lower battery limit to 30%; the user may still charge external devices using the USB port as long as the battery amount is above 30%. once the laptop’s battery life reaches 30%, it would cease charging to conserve the remaining battery.
