Video Editor, as its name suggests, is an application that is capable of editing videos. Users are provided with basic editing tools such as crop, trim, and rotate that enable them to put together video clips and add music and text, as well as video effects such as transitions, filters, and others. The basic editing tools include crop and split.

One of the notable editing functions of this application is the Smart Scene Detection feature, which is capable of splitting a single video into different segments. For instance, a home video of a child’s party can have different parts: the first part can contain the games, and the second will contain the blowing of the cake. The application is able to detect that the scenes are different and so cuts the video between those segments.

Aside from the standard video editing tools, Video Editor also has more than 300 audio and visual effects that users can add to their videos and photos. There are more than 70 classic and creative filters that users can apply to photos to help them set the mood for their home movie. Users can select from 50 transitions such as grid zoom, vertical shutter, and skew. The application also contains a collections of themed graphics, such as Christmas, Fourth of July, and Mother’s Day.
