Virtual Farm, released in 2008, is a simulation and time management game where users must manage a farm by planting crops and getting profit by selling them. Players assume the role of a farmer who has just inherited a large farmland with nothing but grass. At the start of the game, players are only given a planting space and some tomato seeds to plant. Players must water the plants and harvest them when they are ready. Money earned from each level can be used to purchase upgrades and develop the farm by buying equipment and expanding the land. Aside from selling crops, players can also get more profit by purchasing equipment that will turn the crops to more expensive goods, such as wool, milk, and meat.
Locals will start purchasing goods and players must make sure that there is enough of the requested product by checking the demands. Changes for the products can be changed as well. Other features of the Virtual Farm game are listed below:
• 19 products to unlock and sell to gain more profit
• 7 crops to unlock and plant
• Unlockable awards on certain activities done
• Several building upgrades to beat levels easier
