Duplicate Files Finder is a tiny utility bundled with the Windows 7 Manager program. It is designed to find and remove duplicate files on a drive or folder. The program can be opened separately by launching it from the Windows 7 Manager folder. However, it can also be accessed via the Windows 7 Manager interface.
The program works like most duplicate finders. It scans the selected drive or folder. After doing so, it creates a list of all the detected duplicate files. The detected files are color coded for easy identification. The files having the same size and file name have the same color. The program also automatically checks the duplicate files for easy removal. However, the user has the option to uncheck some of the files. Selection of files can also be done via the “Select All” or “Deselect All” buttons. Users may also check the file’s properties via the Properties button.
Duplicate Files Finder can also be configured via the Options button. Users can choose the type of file to find. There’s an option find all types of files as well as an option to find specific type. Users may also choose to skip certain folders/files via the Skipped Folders tab. Options on how the utility finds file are also available.
